Wednesday Night Classes (Nursery available for 0-2 years old):
Bible Basics II
Starting Date: September 4th, 6:15 – 7:30 pm
Location: Robert Moore Room (Room #227)
Bible Basics II is a walk through each book of the New testament. Each week the class is asked to read the assignment for the upcoming week and a handout is provided for that reading assignment as a review. Bible Basics is a basic overview of the Bible designed for beginning readers of God’s Holy Word. It is presented in lecture style with brief periods for questions and comments, as time is limited in covering a great deal of material each session. Come and discover the joy of reading God’s Word within a fellowship of other seekers of the Truth of God. There is nothing like ‘being in the Word!’ For those registered to begin September 4, 2013, read lesson 1: The Gospel of Matthew, Chapters 1-14.
The goal of this class is to explore different ways of praying, connecting with God, and deepening our own personal spiritual practices. We will both discuss practices and perform them in the class! We will use author Daniel Wolpert’s book, Creating a Life with God.
“Sometimes in this life, the world is going to take the wind out of our sails and knock us flat. We can be courageous because we know that God is always with us and will see us through. As Christians, we have the sure confidence that nothing, not even death, can separate us from God’s presence, God’s care, God’s strength, God’s love and God’s victory! So as we deal with the troubles of this world, may God help us to know the courage and faith and blessed assurance that come only from trust in our Lord and Savior, the One who has overcome the world.”
Join us as we begin our fall session. We are a group of men from all walks of life and enjoy reading Scripture together and discussing how it ties in to our everyday lives. If you would like to know more about our topic or what the class is like, contact Carl Cross at 868-7266.

Along the way the kids will be encouraged to keep their promises and to place their faith in a God who has never broken a promise and never will!
What a great way to begin our year by looking at things we do in school! The Limit 6.0 will be looking at the different activities and parts of our school and how we can be faithful in the midst of your daily chaos of school.
Share a meal with the larger congregation and then play games and have a lesson. 5:30 – 7:30 pm includes the Wednesday night supper.

Women’s Bible Studies – Fall 2013
Wednesday Morning, September 11 to October 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. (Room 123)
Living With No Regrets
Since its pilot in the spring of 2012, a new study on aging and dying, “Living with No Regrets,” has sparked conversations among the older adults and caregivers reviewing it.
Initiated by the Conference Councils on Adult and Older Adult Ministries, production of the four-week study was funded by a grant from the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas. Each session contains a video highlighting older adults, adult children or Arkansas Conference clergy. Leaders in aging ministries and professions provide additional insights and practical tips. The topics covered in the study include aging in America; how to start a conversation about aging and changing roles; practical matters such as living wills, finances, transportation and housing; and finishing well. Participant materials will be available during class for no charge.
To enroll in the Wednesday class: Pat Anderson at 821-6263 or Ginny Kurrus at 416-8241.
UNGLUED – Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions
All women experience “unglued feelings” at times, often when they least expect it. These emotions are not wrong; in fact they are God-given. However our emotions should be indicators — not dictators. Based on the book by the same name, the Unglued Bible six-week study by Lysa TerKeurst aims to help women make their emotions work for them instead of against them.
Participant workbooks will be available during class for $12. The book is optional and will be available for $16.34. Weekly meetings will include discussion and DVD teachings. To enroll in the Wednesday class: Pat Anderson at 821-6263 or Ginny Kurrus at 416-8241.
