Disciple Bible Studies
This year Bro. Hammett is leading Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study, a 34-week survey course of the entire Bible. It is the prerequisite for advanced Bible studies. Disciple 1 is tentatively set for Wednesday evening from 6-8PM, but could be adjusted based on interest. Bro. Nick and Matt Harward will lead Disciple III, a 32-week study of the prophets and letters of Paul. Classes will begin after Labor Day and finishing around the first of May, with breaks for Christmas and Spring Break. While in-person attendance is preferred, there will be a weekly Zoom option available for those unable to attend in-person due to illness or other circumstance.
The cost is $45 for the participant manuals. Disciple 1 participants will also need one of the following study Bibles: The Common English Study Bible (ISBN #1609260295), The New Interpreter’s Study Bible (ISBN #978-0687278329), The HarperCollins Study Bible (ISBN #978-0060786847), or The New Oxford Annotated Bible (ISBN # 978-0190276089). Having the Apocrypha is helpful, but not required. These are available at many bookstores or online. Devotional Bibles are wonderful, but will not work for the purposes of Disciple 1.
