A Thought: Heading into Lent. Today many will get in their last sweets, curse words, or whatever flaws they perceive they need to ‘give up’ for Lent which begins tomorrow and lasts 7 wks. For some, this will be a ‘springboard’ toward being healthier physically, mentally, or spiritually. (Tony has plans for eating pancakes at the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Fest at Trinity Episcopal in PB). Some will give up their particular ‘sin,’ while others will give contributions to, something. Whichever you choose, I believe to practice some sort of discipline and sacrifice this Lenten season, is a good way to remember Christ’s sacrifice for giving us salvation through carrying our sins to the Cross and freeing Believers for receiving the gift of Eternal Life. What will you do in Remembrance of Him this Lent?
Have a Thoughtful Tuesday!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world He gave us His Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
