A Thought: On Being Honest.
Everyday we are called to be honest, if we are going to live a life with integrity. Honesty is a delicate thing: It can create a vulnerability to speak and hear the truth. It calls for discernment to say what’s important, while leaving the less important unsaid. (That’s called using your ‘filter’). Honesty doesn’t mean we share things that are personal and private—only if you believe with total confidence in the trust of the one with whom you are sharing. One thing is certain: When you are honest, in Christ, we are commanded to immerse honesty in a sea of kindness. Have a blessed Wednesday!
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
