A Thought: It Doesn’t All Go Well at Once.
There’s a line in the movie, ” The Devil Wore Prada,” when Nigel tells Andi, “Let me know when your personal life is about to go down the tubes, because that’s when you’ll get a promotion.” It would be great if all areas of our life went in the same positive direction, but that euphoria is doubtful to be experienced, as life just doesn’t work that way. I’m just thankful that we have so many blessings that when certain things “crash,” there’s always some blessing we see which counters that misfortune. In faith, we can even thank God for the things which are not so great, because in the Lord’s wisdom, it may have been allowed to happen to divert an even greater disaster down the road. We’ve certainly found this to be true in our adventure with our home. We have not one, not two, but three prospective buyers looking at our home in the next week. Only God knows how this will turn out—with His sense of humor, we could possibly be moving the week of the wedding!
