OUTREACH
AND MISSIONS
Needs as far away as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Africa,
and as close as our hometown are met by the outreach and missions
of Asbury. Asbury and their mission teams are providing on-site
assistance in bringing new water wells, medical treatment, educational
training, and technical training to villagers in the Congo. Closer
to home, many worthy organizations in Little Rock receive hands-on
help from our church, its children, its youth, and its Church School
classes. Some of the organizations we help are the Florence Crittenden
Home, Our House, Arkansas Methodist Children's Home, Heifer Project
International, Rice Depot, Shepherd’s Ranch, Aldersgate Camp,
Stone Soup Kitchen, and individuals and families in need.
One of our most significant outreach efforts is the Asbury Prison Ministry. Our belief in the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:34-36 has made this ministry a reality. Through consistent visitation, clothing the residents when they are released, and supporting them spiritually, we are helping in the work of the body of Christ. Please contact Rev. Joe Wilkerson (681-3678) for more information.
