Holy Motion is a brand new facet of AUMC’s music ministry for children. This area of musical worship includes worship dance and artistic movement with or without the use of props such as streamers, scarves, lummi sticks, and other creative objects. Children will learn to bring glory to God through music and movement either to songs provided by the children’s choirs or to pre-recorded soundtracks, while simultaneously learning technique, rhythm, steady beat, artistic interpretation and other musical fundamentals. Holy Motion is for children ages from 2yrs.-5th grade. The 30 minute classes will meet in congruency with the children’s choral and instrumental rehearsal program on Sunday afternoons, divided according to age groups. They will provide special musical presentations during all worship services at various times throughout the year. They will also participate in combined musical presentations with all choral and instrumental groups for children, youth and adults. |
