Parent Involvement Opportunities
Parents are invited and encouraged to take a significant role in
their child’s spiritual education at Asbury. The following
four avenues for connection and service offer many opportunities
to be part of your child’s spiritual growth, for an application

Leadership and Planning:
Children's Advisory Team, Nursery Advisory Team, Sunday Morning Coordinators, J.A.M.
Team, Missions Team, Holiday Events Team, Materials and Supply
Coordinators
Evangelism, Missions and Outreach:
Greeters, Visitors Follow-up, Mission Partners, Transportation,
Summer Bible Camp, Fitness and Sports Camp, Music Camp, Upward Basketball
Teaching and Mentoring:
Stepping Stones - Teachers for Ages Two through
Kindergarten, Mighty River - Teachers for Grades 1 through 5, River Guides
(mentors) for Mighty River, J.A.M. Weeknight Teachers, Substitute Teachers for all programs,
Prop and Costume designers, those willing to share talents, crafts, skills
with children
Prayer and Worship:
Children’s KIDS' Club Leaders, a child’s Prayer Partner, Acolyte Coordinator, provide music and accompaniment
for children’s activities, provide video technical skill.
Parent Education Programs and Bible Studies
Bible-based programs are offered throughout the year for parents. Parents will acquire bible knowledge,
learn new parenting skills, develop friendships and support with other Christian
parents, and focus on parenting from the Christian perspective.
