A Thought: Being Prepared. I am hopeful the preparations people are making concerning the flood conditions will be enough to prevent damage. I am prayerful for those who have already lost property, and worse, lives. I am mindful that the best preparation we can do is to our spirit—fortifying it for the inevitable tragedies we encounter in life. Helping others fortifies our character and gives us joy. Praying for others strengthens them and takes focus off of ourselves. Preparations are necessary to do all in our power to avoid catastrophe, but the greatest preparation is the eternal one, as all other matters are temporal. Gird your spirit with the Spirit, and move forward in trust and hope.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday! Phil. 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
