A Thought: Fire Light. I’m sitting in the early morning darkness, except for the light of the fire. Its flames bounce around as if dancing in air. It gives some warmth, but gives light and comfort to an early morning awakening. Fire in the Bible is often associated with cleansing, such as the burning coals prophecy of Isaiah. Purifying by fire, such as removing impurities from gold, is a great example. Fire can inspire passion such as that of the Holy Spirit. Today is Laity Sunday and I’m looking forward to the ‘fire’ shared by our speakers: Diane Drilling WrightGinny Kurrus, and Caleb Conrad. I KNOW all who come to hear them will be blessed beyond measure! Jesus sent the disciples out to minister to the villages. He knew they could spread the mission and gospel of love. You can, too! Happy Sunday!
Luke 9:1-2 “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”
