A Thought: Mute. The first time I heard this word was when I read a book about Helen Keller. She was born deaf, blind, and mute, until Anne Sullivan began working with her and she introduced her to a whole new world through sign language. The political ads have begun and I am grateful for the MUTE button because the common tactic is ‘fear by association’ and ‘uncivilness by negativity.’ I won’t allow my soul to hear such unnecessary verbiage, which does nothing, by the way, to form my political opinion. What do you need to ‘mute’ from your life? What perhaps, do you need to become mute about in your day to day life? Tense body language? Unkind words? Negative thoughts? Laziness? Mental low self-esteem ‘tapes’ you play over and over again? Today ask God to steer you away from that which is unhealthy to your soul and to give you awareness to mute what you need to mute and scoot(in the right direction!) Have a Wonderful Wednesday! James 3:10 “Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. This should not be!”
