A Thought: Life Lesson #7 From Laine Austin: After a Storm, You Recoup More Quickly When You Clear Up The Mess Left Behind! Our yard was not spared from the storm, nor were many homes in our new neighborhood, where many lost multiple trees. We are safe, and that’s what matters. Little one helped us pick up leaves, limbs and debris from the straight line winds of Friday night’s storm, while Poppa T was most happy to ‘play’ with his chainsaw to relieve the fence from the weight of the huge pine and oak trees which were uprooted and landed there. Storms in life leave their damage upon our hearts, and prompt healing comes from addressing them honestly and accepting help from God and others. The disciples were caught in a storm once, and Jesus came walking to them and calmed not just the sea, but the sea of fear that had overcome their Trust in Him. Don’t be a victim of your ‘storm’ twice by your unbelief! Happy Sunday! Mark 4:39 “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.”
