A Thought: Cheer. In the movie, “You’ve Got Mail,” starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, ‘Joe Fox’ brings Kathleen daisies when he finds out she is home sick with a cold. It becomes a turning point in their relationship. She says, “I just love daisies—they’re the friendliest flower.” Vacation was wonderful, but yesterday I preached sick. Came back with sinus infection, sore throat and ‘pink eye!’ But as I was looking over the pics from our trip to Savannah, I remember taking this pic, as these were growing in a circular border around Forsythe Park, home to a picturesque fountain. Today, maybe you’re working sick—in spirit or body. Find a way to feel and focus on CHEER. Jesus is depending on us to spread the Gospel of Good News and cheer in this world. It’s hard to sell it with a dreary countenance! Have a Marvelous Monday! Prov. 13:15 “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.”
