A Thought: Getting Comfortable. Being comfortable is important to us. No one wakes up on any given morning thinking, “ How can I make myself uncomfortable today?” Yet, we know sustaining comfort is not always realistic, attainable, or even healthy. Stepping out of our comfort zone challenges us in healthy ways, actually, and we are better. For instance, it had been 9 years since I had been on a snowmobile. I was uneasy about getting back on one because in 2009, I was in an accident in which I was ejected from it. It’s quite a story that will go in a book someday!
But I was determined to meet the challenge of my fear, and got back on one and had a great time snowmobiling with my family! What fear do you need to conquer? Where in your life have you become a bit too comfortable and need to make a healthy challenge? Jesus was constantly challenged physically, mentally, and even spiritually—to demonstrate He was Who He was, and to bravely redefine the Truth and Love of God. Your challenge from your comfort might just redefine a truth for you! Have a Terrific Tuesday! John 14:5-7 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
