A Thought: Protect From the Cold.
God protects the new leaves, fruit and flowers to come by the hard, protective buds. God protects animals with tough skin and/ or fur and beds of the fallen leaves to keep them warm, and the compassion of humans often aids those who need extra care. The homeless hopefully get to shelters or have coats and blankets given to them through churches and other organizations. Is it enough? Never. There’s always more we can do and deeper ways we can give and alleviate suffering. May these cold temps prove to be a catalyst for us to act with compassion and help others all year long.
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Mt. 25:40 ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
