December 11

A Thought: How do you feel Christmas when this happens? Raging fires and mega loss. Highway random shootings. Pipe bomb in busy transportation system. Crooked politics. Sexual assault. Human trafficking. It’s just all SO sad, depressing, and burdening to the human spirit. And that list doesn’t even include the personal sadness or conflict you may be facing in your life. How do we find Christmas in all of this? I believe you start with the Light. When you filter these things through the Light of Christ, you are lifted to Hope and given the decision to move forward in moral principle, powerful prayer, and personal giving to alleviate loss. Who do you know this Christmas that could use a note of appreciation or encouragement or empathy?
Who do you know that even the smallest amount of gift would be gratefully received? Who needs your prayers? This Christmas honor Christ and experience His Light by alleviating just a bit of the world’s sadness by replacing it with an act of faith and hope, which in turn, will share His Light to the world.
Merry Monday to you! Ps. 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? “
