What are your thoughts when you first awaken in the morning? Do you dread what must be done that day? Do you feel a bit grumpy because of how much you need to do? Do you feel bored with your routine; Or sad because of your health or health of a loved one? Are you worried over finances, work, or conflict?
I believe if our First thoughts of the day are of any of these negatives, we have given those thoughts power to shape the rest of our day.
This is something I’ve been trying to practice for awhile now: Begin your day by saying “Good Morning” to God and give thanks to Him: for a safe night; rest to your body; shelter and comfort; COFFEE!; —you get the idea. When we begin the day with Gratitude for our blessings, it frames our focus on the blessings of life, and helps us power through any negatives. Have a Terrific Tuesday!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
