A Thought: What Shelters You?
The storm has passed, the debris from the house construction across the street, scatters the road. But, we are safe, dry, and uncluttered within our home. When a mood; a memory, or a frustration ‘storms’ your heart and mind, where do you seek shelter? Do you find someone ‘safe’ to talk to? Do you go in panic mode? Is your first response anger? None of these reactions is the wisest. Going to God first is not only the wisest, but Best response. In seeking God as your ‘shelter,’ you will find calm in talking to Him; trust in ‘it’ will go no where else; and peace knowing God is helping you work WITH you through your storm. No one or nothing can top that!
Ps.91:2 “I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
