A Thought: Why?

Dealing with stress, we often do things that really don’t help, but rather add to it. Why? Making decisions, we often jump to conclusions, assumptions, and opinions which are way off base. Why? Believing we are acting on good intentions, correct information, we sometimes get it wrong. Why? As we do our best to navigate life everyday, we need to know we’re going to make mistakes in our humanness. It’s not helpful to beat ourselves up about it. What IS transforming is to get our initial focus off ‘self’ and concentrate instead on God’s Will as the Lord works through you to accomplish your purpose. So, pray instead of stress; seek instead of assume; discern instead of decide, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you. It WILL make a difference in all outcomes. May this Thursday be less stressful and more joyful!

Matthew 6: 31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
