A Thought: I’m thinking today of a friend in her forties who is burying her husband and father of her young child; a brother and sister who have just buried their father; a child who is sick; a person out of work; a friend waiting test results. Now, these are people just in my circle of life.
You have many in your circle of family and friends, going through similar situations. As we head into a New Year, where will you find your hope in difficulties? We know they are inevitable, so it will be important to develop the gift of Hope. The Lord is the only Portion of your life that will never change. So, trust the Lord to help you endure what you must; sustain you with strength when you do not have to endure something; and hope, as He directs your new course.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
