A Thought: Don’t run from God!
Yesterday, I stopped my morning walk when I saw a deer looking for food. I went into our garage and scooped up some of the deer corn we recently bought for the deer this winter. I spread some out at different stations, then resumed my walk. Sure enough, from the distance I could see the deer eating the corn. As I came closer on my driveway to where it was eating not too far away, it ran a few yards away—making sure I was not a threat.
I thought, ‘Don’t be afraid of the hand that feeds you!’ But, we do the same thing with God—how good God is to us, anticipating our need and generously meeting those needs. And we respond at times, by running away from opportunities to thank Him; serve Him; love Him. Today, find ways to draw near to God rather than shying away from ways to encounter your Lord. Have a good one!
