A Thought: Be Courageous.
This week before Mother’s Day, I want to share a daily picture, along with a character trait about my mother, who influenced and affirmed me going into the ministry. She was a woman of courage, who was the first and only white teacher in 1967 in Camden serving in an all African-American school. At 5′ she was a tiny thing, but not easily intimidated, even by the students who towered over her. When she died 36 years later, one of her students attended her funeral and shared with me her positive influence upon his life. That was a priceless moment for me. As a faithful Christian, Mom gained her courage from Christ.
Ps.27:14 “Be of good courage..”
