Meet Asbury’s New Administrative Assistant!

Jan MeadHi!  This is Jan Mead, Asbury’s new part-time administrative assistant. Isn’t it always frightening to start a new job or to have change? I have always been comforted by this bible verse – 1 Chronicles 28:20, “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished. “

Like many of you, I believe as one door closes another opens, and I am privileged to be serving our Lord as a member of the AUMC staff.  As a member, and now as staff, I recognize what a wonderful congregation we have, and have always felt relaxed and loved here.  Since I started coming to Asbury back in 2003, I find that Asbury is a friendly and approachable place to worship. The campus is welcoming, and everyone seems to cheer and guide one another… what a blessing!  God bless our congregation, our staff, our visitors, and all who serve in our community outreach programs.
