The Pumpkin Patch!
Posted September 24, 2015 by Amy Bennett
Hey guys! It’s Fall, with it coming beautiful Fall colors, cooler weather, pumpkin-spice EVERYTHING, and most exictingly, actual PUMPKINS! Yay!
Asbury’s Pumpkin Patch is set to open on Sunday, October 4, at noon, and we need YOUR help! The pumpkin patch is our biggest annual fundraiser! Money raised at the Pumpkin Patch directly pays some of the cost for EACH student who attends Ozark Mission Project, and the rest is used to underwrite costs for some our other annual youth events, such as Veritas, Junior and Senior High Assembly, and our Asbury UMC Youth Fall and Spring Retreats!
There are several different ways that you can help our youth in the pumpkin patch:
- Help Unload! The pumpkins are coming on Saturday, October 3rd, at 4pm, and we’ll need help getting them off the truck! We will also need wheelbarrows, rakes, and wagons to use that day!
- Help Advertise! Please share this image on Facebook, and tell all of your friends to come get their pumpkins from us!
- Help Purchase! Stop by and buy a pumpkin (or several) from our patch! We’re open on Monday-Friday, 11a- 6pm, Saturday, 10a- 5pm, and Sunday Noon-5p! Get your large pumpkins, small pumpkins, pumpkins for carving, pumpkins for decorating, pumpkins for eating…we’ve got them all!
- Help Work! We are still in DESPERATE need of workers for the Pumpkin Patch! If you have any time, during the day, on the weekend, after school….(whenever!) we can find a time slot for you to work! Please consider signing up for a shift or two, or even picking the same slot to fill weekly! If you have trouble signing up at the link below, talk to Amy, and she can get you signed up! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0c48aaab28a7f85-pumpkin
Thank you so much! The Asbury youth, youth volunteers, and I, very much appreciate all of your continued support!!!
