A Thought: Coping with Injustice.

Watching the news of the violence in Baltimore is extremely sad and disheartening. While the deaths of unarmed citizens is also disheartening, there are laws and consequences which will be carried out to deal with the tragic loss. To react to injustice with violence is an injustice which victimizes a city and nation, not once, but repeatedly. How does that honor the dead or rectify future action? Protest against injustice is appropriate—attempting to right a wrong with another wrong of harmful protest, is not. Jesus taught us to do our best to love our enemies—not desiring revenge or harm.

Luke 6:32″If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love.”

Have a day of peace, all!
