A Thought: Creation awakening.

My absolute favorite time of day is early morning, sipping a cup of coffee on the porch swing and listening to the world awaken. This morning I have watched a squirrel go up and down the oak tree gathering acorns for the winter; a family of deer eat the corn I put out for them; listened to the cardinals call back and forth; and heard the wind rustle through the remaining leaves on the trees. All of these things are preparing for what’s to come: winter. In the winter of our days, we look forward to the new life of our salvation, which begins NOW. What will you do this day to prepare for and celebrate that? Happy Saturday, everyone!

Romans 13:11 “And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”
